Search and filters
Directory search runs in your browser against a static local index. Search terms and filter choices may appear in the page URL so the view can be shared. The site does not send those terms to a Can I Detect Here? application server.
Cookies and local storage
Public content and local search do not set tracking cookies or store search terms. The optional first-party forms use one short-lived anti-forgery cookie as described below. The site does not store profiles or search data in local storage.
Hosting logs
The hosting provider or network infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser user agent, timestamps, and security events. Retention and handling depend on the chosen host.

Following an official-source link takes you to another organization’s website, which has its own privacy practices.
Location requests and correction reports
The first-party forms collect only the fields shown. Required fields identify the public property or record and describe the request or correction. City, land manager, official-source URL, and reply email are optional where shown. Submissions are stored privately on the same managed server to evaluate the request and are deleted after no more than 30 days. They are never exposed publicly.
The form service uses a secure, same-site anti-forgery cookie that expires after two hours. It also creates a one-way keyed hash of the requesting IP address for rate limiting; the raw IP address is not stored with the submission, and rate-limit entries expire after one hour. Standard Nginx access logs may still process request metadata as described above.
Email alternative
If you email hello@marclaclear.com, the publisher and relevant mail providers receive the address and information you choose to send. That information is used to reply and evaluate the question, request, or correction.
