Correction policy

Report, verify, correct

A correction changes the site only after the governing official material has been checked. The revision history records what changed and why.

Contact is not yet enabled. The launch owner must configure and monitor a contact address before it is displayed. This page intentionally does not publish a nonfunctional form.

What a useful report includes

How reports are evaluated

  1. Open the cited official source and confirm the issuing authority.
  2. Check whether the source applies to the record’s stated place and scope.
  3. Compare publication, effective, and source-check dates when available.
  4. Update the status or details only to the extent the evidence supports.
  5. Append a revision entry and rerun schema, indexing, link, and build checks.

Urgent safety errors

If a record could direct someone toward a prohibited, sensitive, archaeological, burial, tribal, or dangerous location, it should be moved to needs revision and noindex immediately while the official evidence is rechecked.

Rollback

If an update proves mistaken, restore the last known supported record from version control, add a revision note explaining the rollback, and complete the normal validation and review process before reapproval.
